World Music Awards slams Kanye West on outburst

LA. (AFP) - Pop stars Kanye West closed the Monday after the rapper rocked the MTV Video Music Awards crashing the stage during the acceptance speech teen star Taylor Swift.

West shocked audience members during Sunday's show in New York after rising country star Swift, 19, won a statuette for best female video for her song "You Belong With Me".

Swift had begun to speak when suddenly in the West, and stated that he felt the award should have gone to R'n'B stars Beyonce.

"Taylor, I?'m Really happy for you, and me?" I'll let you finish, but Beyonce has one of the best videos of all time, "West said to a chorus of boos.

Beyonce, who looked distinctly embarrassed by the blast, Swift later invited to share the stage with her after receiving his own award.

However, he did little to stem a chorus of condemnation directed to the West by other personalities from the world of music.

Singer Pink registered their disapproval with a tweet on Twitter microblogging site. "My heart goes out to Taylor Swift. She is a sweet and talented and deserves your time. Let her know that all love it," said Rosa. Another post of using abusive language to discredit the West.

A stand of singer Katy Perry said that while both West outburst was comparable to "step on a kitten."

And the singer Kelly Clarkson said the West with a post on its official blog. "What happened to you as a child?? Do not get hugged enough?" Clarkson wrote. "I feel sorry because it is a sad human being."

West issued an apology for his rant on a blog, but the post had been removed from its site early Monday.

"I'm sooooo sorry to Taylor Swift and his fans and his mother. I talked to his mother after she told me right and like my mother?" I said, "West said." I'm in the wrong for going on stage and taking away from your time! video of Beyonce was the best of this decade.

"I'm sorry to my fans if I let you down."
